GUMR is a producer and DJ from Portsmouth, UK, known for deep, rolling and hypnotic electronic music. He began taking music seriously at 20 and developed a sound shaped by the influence of Mr G, Bushwacka, and Nathan Coles. His earliest success came under his own name, Gary Wood, with the 2014 release Analogue Shimmer, which became his most recognised work to date.

Before that, he won the BBC Radio 1 DJ Competition in 2002, earning a performance slot at The End nightclub alongside Richie Hawtin and Mr C—an early milestone that confirmed his direction in the underground scene. His debut release as GUMR, Damn Code, set the tone for the style he continues to refine: energetic, edgy, and upbeat.
